Partisan message in school textbook

I've attached a news article from Sask. regarding a message printed by the government in Science 9 textbooks.

Anyone have any thoughts on this they want to share?

  2. wow. The writing is also TERRIBLE. This.... This... This....
Don't they know you NEVER start a sentence with "this"?! What is this "this"? And the second "this"? And the person who represents the writing is our Education minister?! oh brother...

  3. I agree with Cory that the picture is cheesy and lame, but other than that I don't really have an issue with it.
I am sure some people think it is propaganda for the Saskatchewan party, but I don't know if it says anywhere what party the education minister is from.
I don't know why people are getting up in arms about a silly message saying, here's your textbook, I hope you hate it less than before. They are emphasizing that it came from Saskatchewan and will hopefully be better suited to the needs of the students.
I don't think that most students in grade 9 will really know who that lady is and certainly not what party she came from.
Yeah it is suspect the book came out before the election, but perhaps the NDP are blowing it out of proportion.
